AUSTIN, Texas (March 25, 2015) — CLEAResult, a leader in designing and implementing technology-enabled energy efficiency programs for utilities, governments, schools and businesses, today announced it has finalized a new contract for Consumers Energy’s Home Energy Analysis and ENERGY STAR® Lighting and Appliances programs, significantly expanding the company’s existing portfolio with one of the nation’s largest combination utilities.
Under this new contract, CLEAResult will provide comprehensive to-market implementation design and strategy to help drive impacts on Consumers Energy’s residential energy savings goals from 2015 through 2017. CLEAResult has worked with Consumers Energy since 2009 to implement its Income-Qualified Energy Efficiency Assistance Program and since 2012 to implement their New Home Construction Program. By employing transformative program design, customer service and marketing approaches, these programs have grown to provide meaningful and long-lasting support of Consumers Energy’s promise to help Michigan homes and businesses save energy.
“Consumers Energy is proud to build upon its six-year relationship with CLEAResult to continue offering comprehensive savings solutions for our residential customers,” said Teri VanSumeren, director of energy efficiency solutions for Consumers Energy.
CLEAResult began its work with Consumers Energy in 2009, generating a major impact on the company’s residential energy efficiency portfolio through effective program design strategy. As a result of its efforts, CLEAResult delivered various energy efficiency solutions to high risk customers by tailoring programs to each individual’s needs, facilitating cost savings and increasing home comfort. Energy efficiency services provided through the programs included insulation, air sealing and carbon monoxide detection, all free of charge.
“CLEAResult has a long standing relationship working with Consumers Energy and we are honored to expand our collaboration with the addition of these newest programs,” said Glenn Garland, chairman and CEO, CLEAResult. “This is such an exciting achievement for CLEAResult as it provides us the opportunity to raise the bar in the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs at Consumers Energy and across the industry.”
Providing electric and natural gas services to nearly 6.6 million of Michigan’s 10 million residents, Consumers Energy is the nation’s fourth-largest combination utility. With CLEAResult’s help, Consumers Energy seeks to take major strides in its strategic Growing Forward plan to invest more than $6 billion in various energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental and customer service enhancements and new power generation initiatives in Michigan over the next five years.
