AUSTIN, Texas (April 6, 2016) — CLEAResult, a leader in designing and implementing technology-enabled energy efficiency programs for utilities, has appointed Dan Crippen to the company’s board of directors. A former executive director of the National Governors Association (NGA) and former director of the Congressional Budget Office, Dan is well versed in bipartisan public policy design that derive both public benefits and economic development across an array of industries including healthcare, energy and education.
“Dan has an impressive career that spans both the public and private sectors where he has been a transformative leader in helping to shape and implement public policy,” said CLEAResult CEO Aziz Virani, who also serves on the board. “His unique talents will further the board’s mission to maintain and propel CLEAResult’s position as a leader within the dynamic energy landscape.”
Dan’s career has included senior advisory roles at the White House, the United States Senate, Merrill Lynch and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Additionally, he co-founded two consulting firms specializing in economic impact and analysis. With consistent commitment to empowering and educating citizens about public services, Dan is also a board trustee for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Center for Health Care Strategies, and America’s Promise Alliance.
Dan received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota and holds a masters and Ph.D. in public finance from Ohio State University.
