AUSTIN, Texas, June 2, 2016 – CLEAResult, a leader in designing and implementing technology-enabled energy efficiency programs for utilities, governments, schools, and businesses, announced today it has reached an agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to implement programs across North America that are powered by the eScore™ digital engagement platform.
eScore was developed by TVA in partnership with CLEAResult and 154 local power companies to provide homeowners with a simple way to maximize the energy efficiency of existing homes. eScore is a best-in-class, technology-enhanced, contractor-driven program and digital engagement platform that provides homeowners a seamless customer experience. By providing expert advice, incentives and educational resources, a homeowner has all they need to make informed decisions about energy upgrades to their home. Over time—and at a pace the homeowner can afford—the platform encourages customers to stay engaged in order for their home to score a perfect 10, or the most efficient that home can be. The many convenient self-service aspects of the platform make it easier than ever for homeowners to save money on their energy bills and make their homes more comfortable.
“eScore has been tremendously successful because it delivers a digital platform that supports sustained customer engagement,” said CLEAResult CEO Aziz Virani. “eScore takes an omnichannel approach that gives homeowners a seamless and consistent experience across all of a utility’s demand-side management programs, whether the homeowner engages via the mobile app, the website, retail stores, or contractors. With this agreement, we’re able to build upon TVA’s success and expand the footprint of this program design and platform.”
Since the program’s launch in early 2015, eScore contractors have worked with more than 28,000 homeowners to make 33,000 upgrades. These home improvements have resulted in saving nearly 37 gigawatt-hours of electricity across the Tennessee Valley, translating to millions in savings on utility costs for customers.
”We strive to help consumers make their electricity dollar go further through innovative programs such as eScore,” said Frank Rapley, senior manager for TVA’s EnergyRight® Solutions for the Home. “When developing eScore, we listened to consumer needs and created a program that helped lower homeowners’ power bills and was easy to implement. The results have been a testament to the effectiveness of the eScore program.”
eScore will be available to all North American utility companies by fall 2016.
