Great creative can do more than catch attention – ours can change the way people use energy. That impact was unmistakable this year as campaigns developed in collaboration with our clients and CLEAResult’s client marketing teams earned 15 MarCom Awards across the Platinum, Gold, and Honorable Mention categories. Competing against 7,000 global entries, these projects stood out for inspiring action, driving measurable impact, and connecting with communities in meaningful ways.  

Below are the campaigns that stood out for their strategy, creativity, and real-world impact.

 

Platinum MarCom award winner

SWEPCO Arkansas – 2024 Energy Efficiency Marketing Campaign

 

SWEPCO Arkansas took home the Platinum Award for their 2024 Energy Efficiency Campaign. Together with CLEAResult’s client marketing team, SWEPCO developed an engaging campaign using inviting messages, beautiful lifestyle images, creative designs, and clear, accessible language. Using email, direct mail, and paid media, the campaign connected residents to the SWEPCO brand and encouraged them to explore energy-saving opportunities. This resulted in an 80% increase year over year in website visitors and traffic.

Marketing Account Manager Caleb Blount is thrilled to be recognized with a MarCom Award and attributes much of the campaign’s success to the seamless collaboration with CLEAResult. “We named this marketing campaign ‘Feel Right at Home’ because it was important for us to express to our customers that SWEPCO is here to help them achieve that feeling. By changing the way they use energy, through program offerings and incentives, SWEPCO and CLEAResult truly make it possible for customers to create a more sustainable future in the home,” said Blount.

Consumers Energy – JBL Speaker Campaign 

Consumers Energy – Amazon Echo Dot Campaign

 

Consumers Energy won two Gold Awards for the JBL speaker campaign and Amazon Echo Dot campaign. These campaigns reinforced smart energy use, engaged and incentivized customer appointments, and increased participation in their Home Energy Assessment program, all of which support Consumers Energy’s energy savings goals and revenue targets.

“CLEAResult’s strategy combined data-driven targeting with engaging incentives, like JBL speakers and Amazon Echo Dots, to motivate participation in the Home Energy Assessment program. Our messaging emphasized seasonal taglines, savings, and smart technology, resulting in measurable increases in engagement and appointments,” said Marketing Account Manager McKenna Schwab and Manager of Marketing Account Management Marilyn Purgatori.

 

 

PPL Electric Utilities – Appliance Recycling Campaign

 

PPL Electric Utilities earned a Gold Award with a creative appliance recycling campaign that generated nearly 10 million impressions in 2024 and increased appliances recycled by 46%. A short, engaging explainer video on their company landing page helped customers understand their recycling options, available rebates and the impact of removing appliances from the grid.

“CLEAResult and PPL Electric Utilities have a shared vision to offer multiple options to customers while making it easy to participate. The PPL Electric Utilities program design is focused on being customer-first, so this aligns strongly with the people-first culture we strive for at CLEAResult. The program offers customers multiple paths to participate, with communications that are relevant, clear, and easy to understand,” said Senior Marketing Account Manager Nolan Alberti.

 

 

Focus on Energy – Wisconsin State Fair Organic Meta Campaign

 

Focus on Energy received a Gold Award for their Wisconsin State Fair organic Meta campaign, an annual educational exhibit at the Wisconsin State Fair to raise awareness and provide valuable information on energy-saving solutions. Focus on Energy worked with our client marketing team on a creative approach that cleverly tapped into the Wisconsin State Fair’s iconic culture of farm animals, delicious food, and thrilling rides. Fair attendees explored insulation materials, learned about rebates, and connected with local Trade Ally contractors.

“Focus on Energy prides itself on meeting Wisconsin residents where they are in their everyday lives and empowering them to take practical steps to improve their energy efficiency. CLEAResult identified this opportunity [The Wisconsin State Fair] successfully, delivering a one-of-a-kind Meta campaign. The Wisconsin State Fair theming was a fresh, effective creative strategy that resonated with customers,” said Marketing Account Manager Tracy Alberti.

 

 

Entergy Arkansas – Small Business Energy Efficiency Kit

 

Entergy Arkansas took home a Gold Award for its new Energy Efficiency Kit, a curated selection of energy-saving products that introduces customers to the Small Business Energy Solutions Program. To ensure a consistent customer experience, the Kit is supported by coordinated materials, including web copy, an online sign-up form, a flyer, a kit label, and a contents one-pager. Like the program it supports, the Kit helps businesses reduce overhead costs while enhancing workplace comfort and performance.

Marketing Account Manager Jon Curtis said this win is “a great way to recognize the teamwork and creativity that this new and impactful resource required.”

 

 

Xcel Energy – Heat Pump Video Series

 

Xcel Energy earned a Gold Award for a bilingual video series that explains heat pump features and highlights benefits for homeowners. Xcel Energy, CLEAResult and Ground Work Productions collaborated to produce videos in English and Spanish in multiple lengths, tailored to engage audiences across a variety of platforms.

“Through collaborative ideation and compelling storytelling, we developed a video series designed to educate customers while aligning with our client's brand voice and energy efficiency goals. This campaign is positioned to resonate with Xcel Energy’s audience,” said Manager of Marketing Account Management Jeri Gee.

 

 

Jersey Central Power & Light – Great Debates Outdoor Ads

 

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) received a Gold Award for a series of creative advertisements that were featured across JCP&L’s territory through digital panels, transit ads, and outdoor displays. The campaign taps into New Jersey’s classic rivalries, like Sprinkles vs. Jimmies, to deliver a powerful message that saving energy saves money.

Marketing Account Manager Patrick Niehoff remarked that this campaign was “able to step outside of the traditional direct marketing boundaries of utility program marketing, and place messaging in areas and venues where the customer is not used to seeing it.” The campaign had outstanding impressions over a four-week period, with 60 outdoor poster locations delivering 20,821,680 impressions based on traffic counts and transit delivering 7,196,029 impressions based on ridership.

 

 

PECO – Valentine’s Day Sale Campaign

PECO – Air Source Heat Pump Tune-Up Email

 

When our client's win, we win.

This year, PECO took home two Gold Awards. The first campaign used Valentine’s Day creative across multiple platforms to promote discounted smart thermostats. It generated 8,200 web sessions and a 112% increase in web traffic month over month. The air source heat pump tune-up email sought to re-engage past rebate participants by promoting a new $25 rebate for heat pump maintenance. This email also saw great success, with a unique CTR over 700% higher than similar emails and contributed to an 850% year-over-year increase in ASHP Tune-Up rebate submissions.
