CLEAResult sponsors Insights Marketing’s ‘Power to Impact’, provides food and resources to under-resourced women in New Orleans

CLEAResult proudly co-sponsored Power to Impact, a community outreach initiative hosted by Insights Marketing & Promotions, a double-minority owned, WBE & MBE certified award-winning agency specializing in everything from disease management and testing to celebrity sourcing and partnerships. For nearly 25 years, Insights Marketing President and owner Keshia Walker has led the company to consistently create successful programs and experiences for their clients. Insights Marketing has also prioritized community outreach, providing essential life services to marginalized communities throughout the country.
Extending resources and hope
In June, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Conference (WBENC) kicked off in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Conference Center. The four-day conference and networking event provides space and resources for women entrepreneurs and business owners to connect and collaborate through professional sessions, meetups, industry labs, pitch competitions, receptions and more. Walker represented Insights Marketing & Promotions, and in the spirit of women empowerment, her team organized the latest installment of their community outreach series, Power to Impact, in partnership with local ministries Lantern Light and Love in Action Outreach. CLEAResult co-sponsored the event, which provided resources to more than 70 women who are unhoused in the New Orleans area. Walker said hosting Power to Impact during the WBENC was both appropriate and timely considering the influx of conference attendees who could help provide resources and services.
“Amazing corporations and entrepreneurs come to these conferences each year, and they have resources to help people get on their feet and prepare for and sustain job opportunities. Our goal is to extend family and life services that improve their mental and physical health,” said Walker.
Around a dozen corporate partners and entrepreneurs volunteered during the two-hour event, serving hot meals and supplying attendees with nonperishable food items to carry out. The volunteers also provided gift bags, various sundries, scented candles and reusable totes with women’s wellness toiletries including manicure and pedicure kits, sanitary napkins, deodorant, shampoo, shower caps, toothbrushes and mouthwash. The Power to Impact event provided a health presentation centering on disease and illnesses that impact women, as well as a job readiness presentation where attendees were coached on best practices for filling out job applications, resume-building and strategies to find temporary staffing and long-term contract roles.
Supporting local programs
With the help of CLEAResult and other sponsors, Insights Marketing was also able to present Lantern Light’s Rebuild program with a $2,500 check to help fund their ongoing efforts to support women and their families in locating facilities to take hot showers, finding housing and receiving counseling and mental health screening and services. Walker says she is determined to use her influence and network to bridge the gap and inspire women and families facing food and housing insecurities. “I want to let other women know that there are opportunities out there for them to take advantage of. There is almost nothing you can’t come back from or rise out of,” said Walker.
